Cindy Mahlangu Reportedly Quits #TheQueenMzansi. A lot of changes are happening at Ferguson Film, especially on their Mzansi magic drama production The Queen. Following the news of an actors termination, reports are now claiming that another cast member from the drama is saying goodbye. Entertainment broadcast reporter Phil Mphela has been dropping bombs all week and we never saw this one coming.
Taking to twtter, Mphela revealed that Cindy Mahlangu who plays the role of Siyanda on The Queen is bidding farewell to the production. This is the second time that the actress is leaving the production however, we think this time is more permanent.
“CASTING NEWS: Cindy Mahlangu quits #TheQueenMzansi Mahlangu, who plays Siyanda on the Mzansi Magic show, has resigned from the production. Yep, so don’t expect her to return to Corner House” he wrote.
Cindy has been playing the role of Siyanda since season three but to a break last year to attend to other work obligations. Cindy bagged a role on Scandal! last year as Violetta Mamba and later returned to The Queen following her character’s death on the etv drama.
Cindy was recently nominated in the Best Supporting Actress In A Series category at the Hollywood African Prestigious Awards (HAPA) and we are supper excited that she walked away with the win. Cindy was nominated for her role as Phumzie on the Ferguson’s mini series production King’s Of Joburg, which also bagged a few other nods in other categories at the awards platform.
The Queen is going through a bit of a rough patch lately following Phil’s report about Sthembiso Khoza who was recently fired from The Queen effective immediately. According to Mphela, the decision was made at the behest of Multichoice following an alleged assault drama that the actor was said to be involved in.
SK’s alleged unprofessionalism has apparently been a problem for a long time which got him canned the first time. Previous reports have revealed that Khoza’s sacking from The Queen was alluded to various claims, including his dramatic personal life and diva tendencies on set, that proved to be intolerable to those working with him. We wonder who the drama is going to add to fill in the void of the two actors.
