Cindy Mahlangu Reacts To Her First International Award Win. South Africa is has a melting pot of new actors and their talent is definitely speaking for itself. Congratulations are in order for The Queen actress Cindy Mahlangu, who has just bagged her first international award win.
Cindy was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress In A Series category at the Hollywood African Prestigious Awards (HAPA) and we are supper excited that she walked away with the win. Cindy was nominated for her role as Phumzie on the Ferguson’s mini series production King’s Of Joburg, which also bagged a few other nods in other categories at the awards platform.
Taking to Instagram, the Blood And Water actress shared a story of a representative that accepted the award on her behalf. Mahlangu also shared her reaction to the news of her bagging a major award nod at the prestigious platform. Cindy was nominated with likes of Etinosa Idemudia – Blood of Enogie, Sharon Ooja – The Men’s Club, Chioma Akpontha – Blood of Enogie, Dakore Akande – Castle and Castle, Sarah Hassan – Just in Time and Khosi Ngema – Blood and Water.
The HAPA’s serves to honour American and African community leaders, international political figures, dignitaries, celebrities and stars who are pioneers in motion pictures, arts, music and comedy.
Ferguson Films also bagged two other nominations for their Netflix mini series King’s Of Joburg starring the late Shona Ferguson as Simon ‘Vader’ Masire and Gomora actor Zolisa Xaluva as Mogomotsi ‘Mo’ Masire.
The production bagged a nomination for Outstanding Drama series In Africa and the late actor also received a nomination for Best Lead in a Drama Series at the Hollywood African Prestigious Awards. The ceremony took place October 24th at the Orpheum Theatre, Broadway, Los Angeles and we are super proud of all the other local entertsiners who also walked away as winners on the night.
