Ciara Sends Love to Tyla After Their Fun VMAs Dance Moment

South Africa’s global superstar Tyla continues to prove that she is not only a music powerhouse but also a rising fashion icon. At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 7, Tyla stole the spotlight with her unforgettable red-carpet look and walked away with one of the evening’s top awards.

The singer turned heads in a tiny beige Chanel minidress, which was originally a corset top from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 1993 collection. Styled into what many called the “tiniest minidress imaginable,” it instantly became one of the night’s most talked-about outfits. Tyla completed the look with layers of gold medallion necklaces, stacked bracelets, waist chains, and ankle jewellery from Pandora. To avoid any fashion mishaps, she paired the minidress with short black shorts and finished her look with sharp black pointed heels.

But it wasn’t just about fashion—Tyla also proudly won the “Best Afrobeats” award, marking another career milestone for the Grammy-winning star.

One of the highlights of the night came when Tyla shared the stage with American R&B icon Ciara. The two danced together as Ciara taught Tyla the moves to her new single “Low” from her deluxe album Cici, which also features Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz.

Ciara later shared a sweet clip of their dance on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “I think you’re ready for more! Loved getting low with you @Tyllaaaaaaa.”

This fun interaction wasn’t the first time Ciara expressed admiration for Tyla. Back in April, during her L’Officiel USA cover interview, Ciara revealed that Tyla was high on her dream collaboration list.

“If I could collab with someone, I think it would be super cool to maybe work with Tyla. I think her music is really infectious and she makes people dance through her music, and for me it’s really important to make the world dance,” Ciara said.

She added with a smile: “I think me and Tyla could wind it up a little bit, you know, do a little something, something together. It could be cute.”

Fans are already buzzing at the thought of Ciara’s sleek R&B/pop sound blending with Tyla’s Afrobeat energy. While nothing has been confirmed yet, one thing is clear—if these two ever team up, it would be a global hit.
