South African fans of UK rapper Central Cee have a reason to celebrate — the chart-topping artist has been confirmed as a headliner at the upcoming Hey Neighbour Festival! The big news was shared on the festival’s official social media pages, and it has already created a lot of excitement.
The announcement post read: “Get ready to go Band4Band with your Day 1 headliner @centralcee. The 30th of August can’t come soon enough and we can’t wait to welcome him to the Hood. Remember, we’ve switched to a 2-day format this year, so get ready for a jam-packed weekend that you simply can’t miss!”
Central Cee, who has made a name for himself with hits like Doja and Sprinter, will be performing on the 30th of August at Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria. This marks his first performance in South Africa, and fans are clearly excited to see him live.
Supporters wasted no time sharing their joy online. One excited fan said, “Okay well done. Debate ended. Well done.” Another simply shouted, “LET’S GO!!!” It’s clear that Central Cee’s visit is one of the most anticipated moments of the year for local hip hop fans.
But the festival doesn’t stop there. American artist Leon Thomas has also been confirmed for the lineup. Known for his work as a singer, songwriter, actor, and producer, Leon brings a rich mix of talent to the stage. His addition promises to bring a soulful and diverse sound to the weekend’s festivities.
And if that wasn’t enough star power, Doja Cat will headline the second day of the festival. The Grammy-winning artist will perform on August 31, making it her first-ever performance in South Africa.
Hey Neighbour Festival announced her appearance with excitement: “Gather round, dear Neighbours, because it’s time to let the cat out of the bag! Your first headliner is here, and OOOF, she’s here to make it shake! Please welcome the breathtaking @dojacat!”
With Central Cee kicking things off on Day 1 and Doja Cat closing the show on Day 2, this year’s Hey Neighbour Festival is shaping up to be one of the most exciting music events of 2025.
