Candice Modiselle, the talented South African actress best known for her role as Lerato on the SABC1 soap opera Generations: The Legacy. She’s starring in the international animated film “Panda Bear in Africa,” where she lends her voice to the character Niala.

“Panda Bear in Africa” follows the adventure of a young, adventurous panda who travels from China to Africa to rescue his best friend, Jielong the Dragon, who has been kidnapped. Throughout his journey, he explores the diverse landscapes of mountains, deserts, and jungles, discovering a fascinating new world.

The film has garnered significant international attention, selling to distributors in key territories such as France, Spain, Indonesia, Greece, the UK, South Korea, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, and the Middle East. It has also achieved the remarkable feat of becoming this year’s highest-grossing independent animated film in the Commonwealth of Independent States, which includes Russia and eight other member states.

Set for release on August 7, 2024, “Panda Bear in Africa” promises to captivate audiences worldwide with its heartwarming story and stunning animation. Modiselle’s role as Niala is expected to further elevate her career, showcasing her versatility and talent on an international stage.
