Burna Boy Once Encouraged AKA To Get A Gun. African Giant, Burna Boy and AKA were once two peas in a pod, the two even collaborated on a few musical projects.

The late award winning rapper’s friendship with Burna was one that some described as the two being passionately fond of each other. In 2019, their friendship came to an end after the two engaged in a twitter spat filled with expletives. The Nigerian star, had taken to Twitter during the xenophobic attacks aimed at Nigerians, he further went on to tell AKA to beef up his security. “And @MI_Abaga it’s F**k @akaworldwide from now on. And if you down with him, it’s F**k you too. I respect you too much, please Don’t throw my respect out the window cuz I swear you will fly out with it,” his tweet read.

After the twitter spat AKA said in an interview that he had no problem with Burna Boy and still listened to his music and was happy for all his achievements. Following AKA’s passing, fans have been eagerly waiting to hear his thoughts regarding the tragedy., he has finally taken to his Instagram account to share a tribute.

It does seem, however, that there hadn’t been love lost between the two African superstars. One of the lines from Burna’s tribute reveal that the two had had a conversation after AKA saw his gun and he had advised AKA to get one because people are wicked.

“Took me out of a positive mood/ Took me back to that day when you saw my and you said I was wild/ Then I told you you should have one too/ Cuz it weren’t like niggaz wasn’t dying but I thought you knew/ And I ain’t really fuck wit you/ But I didn’t want you dead,” the lyrics state.
