Black Twitter Reacts To Oscar Pistorius Reportedly Being Eligible For Parole. Social media users have always argued that the South African justice system is flawed, and this may just be another classic example of that. The media has reported that former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius may soon be eligible for parole.

For those that may not remember, Pistorius was convicted of culpable homicide in 2014 for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day in 2013. He was later convicted of murder in 2015. The following year the Pretoria High Court sentenced Pistorius 13 years in prison and has served a total of seven years.

According to Correctional services authorities, Inmates are eligible for parole after serving time off their sentence however, a decision about Oscar’s case has not yet been made.

Following the reports of Oscar’s possible release, the streets of twitter have voiced their concerns over the justice system and the unimportance of women lives.

Correctional service spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo revealed in an interview the department was planning a meeting between Pistorius and the Steenkamp family as part of the rehabilitation process.

Check out the comments from twitter below.

So frankly speaking, the only thing that Oscar Pistorius will find different when he gets out on parole is the name change that happened down South-East and the GuptEscape? 🤔

No flying cars, no Indian Speaker of National Assembly 😁. Nothing. It's as if he was there for 30mins. pic.twitter.com/as5kMWb3ZZ
