The show has hit home for many people who have been rape victims within their work place and thereafter, neglected by the police.
In a recent episode of The River, Zolani’s wife Emma played by Lunathi Mampofu had many in tears after her scene where she did a business presentation for her boss Zithulele who has been luring Emma to get her alone. While many thought Zithulele’s intentions were to have an affair with Emma took a very sharp turn when he ended up raping her in the boardroom.
The scene which is very relatable to many women who have been violated in the work place has left many speaking and applauding the actress for pulling it off. Mampofu commented on the scene highlighting how acts of rape towards women in the workplace are very cruel and sickening it is.
“Nothing more painful then what Emma is going through right nowโฆ I honestly donโt even have words for it” she wrote.
