Tsatsii Madiba, the popular Big Brother Titans star, has shared a powerful and emotional gesture following the passing of her beloved mother. In a heartfelt video posted on her social media, Tsatsii showed herself cutting off her hair, symbolising a fresh start and the strength to let go of attachments.
“Losing my mom is by far one of the most painful things I’ve ever had to go through,” Tsatsii wrote in her post. “I still randomly call her hoping she’ll pick up. I can’t even imagine my life without her.” She explained that the decision to cut her hair was part of her healing process, “I decided to cut my hair and start afresh to prove to myself that I can let go of things I feel highly attached to and let go.”
Tsatsii also expressed her gratitude for the strength she found in the midst of her grief, adding, “I’ll never be the same. I thank God every day for all the strength He gave me in all the moments I felt anxious.”
Her mother tragically passed away on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025. Tsatsii shared the news with her followers in a deeply emotional Instagram story. “And I will hate Valentine’s Day as long as I live,” she wrote. “It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news that my beloved mom passed away this morning. I’m struggling to cope with the loss of the most selfless, loving, and incredible person I’ve ever known.”
In the same post, she revealed that she would be taking a step back from social media to process her grief. “Thank you for your love, support, and understanding,” she said. “Please keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers during this tough time. Rest in peace, Mom. I love you more than words can express.”
