Beyonce And Her Mother Pay Tribute To Mary Twala. She may be gone but her legacy will live on forever. Mama Mary Twala’s last acting gig was on Beyonce’s recent film ‘Black Is King’ and the American award winning singer together with her ‘momager’, Tina Knowles paid their last respects.

Tina Knowles took to Instagram to honour the legacy of Mary Twala who played the role of Rafiki on ‘Black Is King’, expressing that it was a true blessing to work with her on the film.

“Beyonce shared the sad news about this wonderful legend Mary Tesla , who played the elder in the film ( Rafiki) that she had passed on” Tina said.

Knowles shared that is was her daughter Beyonce, who shared the news of Mary’s passing also referencing a quote from the film which resonated with Twala and her legacy.

“It is very interesting that in the film the poetry says “the elders are tired” May she REST In Eternal Peace” Knowles wrote.
