Media personality and model Ayanda Thabethe has proudly celebrated a life-changing achievement and shared some of the most special moments from her graduation. The star recently obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Business School at the University of Reading in London.
Ayanda first revealed the exciting news yesterday, announcing that she had officially graduated. Today, she took it a step further by posting pictures of herself in her graduation regalia, glowing with pride and joy as she marked this incredible milestone.
In a heartfelt message to her supporters, Ayanda shared: “Grateful for the love and support of my husband, family and friends and of course all of you. Thank you for the wonderful congratulatory messages – I read and felt them all, feeling immense gratitude and warmth. To God be the glory #GirlswithMBA’s #EducationisCool.”
She also reflected on the exact moment she walked the stage in London, writing: “In London, on the 19th September, I walked the stage and graduated with my MBA from Henley Business School (University of Reading) and now I proudly join its circle of elite global business leaders. A monumental milestone and one for the books.”
Her MBA journey has been filled with determination and resilience. Back in June 2021, Ayanda revealed that she had been accepted into Henley’s Flexible Executive MBA Programme and shared her acceptance letter with fans. At the time, she couldn’t hide her excitement as she prepared to begin classes on June 28, 2021.
Earlier this year in May, Ayanda shared that she had completed the programme, looking back on how far she had come. “In June 2021, I shared with you all that I was starting an MBA journey – and today, nearly four years later, I’m so proud to say: I did it!” she wrote.
Her journey wasn’t without challenges. Ayanda revealed that she paused her studies to welcome her two children, which extended her academic timeline. However, she proudly announced that she had passed her thesis with distinction.
She explained: “A typical Henley Executive MBA takes around two and a half years – mine took four. But with determination, support from @henleyafrica, and God’s grace, I never lost sight of why I started.”
