Award-winning TV presenter LaConco is back, and she couldn’t be more excited to host the ninth season of the hit show Utatakho on Mzansi Wethu. The first episode aired on 26 January 2026, marking the beginning of another emotional journey for both the host and viewers.
Taking to Instagram, LaConco shared her heartfelt reflections on the experience: “God has entrusted me with this assignment once again. This show has taken me on an emotional journey I never knew existed. In some episodes, I felt a sense of relief like a child finally being soothed with sweetness. In others, it felt as though my heart was being carried by the relentless waves of the ocean.

In another post, she reflected on the deeper meaning of the show: “Utatakho is not just a show. It is purpose, truth, tears, and the rebuilding of families. Some truths heal, and some break, but all are necessary. God chose me to carry stories on tv that change families, and I do not take that lightly.”
Speaking to News24, LaConco expressed her hopes for the season and its impact on viewers: “I desire Utatakho to have the legacy that enlightens people about the importance of the truth, no matter what! May people make sound decisions when it comes to romantic relationships. For example, don’t have sex too early in a relationship, and don’t take the risk of unprotected sex if you’re not planning to be present.
Family support is an important base for everyone, and just being loved properly. May this season awaken people to be responsible even in a temporary pleasure moment/action for a stable future.”
With LaConco at the helm once again, Season 9 of Utatakho promises to deliver heart-wrenching, thought-provoking, and ultimately life-changing stories that remind viewers of the power of truth, love, and responsibility in shaping families.
