Another #TheQueenMzansi Actor Accuses The Fergusons Of Mistreatment! The Fergusons have now become notorious for the wrongful treatment of their talent as yet another cast member has accused Ferguson Films of ill-treatment.
Like many other actors who were either axed from the production or simply left the production by choice, Mlamli Mangcala who plays the character of Captain Sthembiso Radebe on The Queen has quit the hit TV show after making allegations of lies and exploitation against the Ferguson’s.
According to Mangcala although having discussed an increase in salary with the Ferguson’s for the second season of the production after they asked him to stay in for a year ,he asked if they could look at his rate and to his surprise he was only given an increase of R100.
In an open letter written by Mlamli which has now been making the rounds on twitter, he claims that he was exploited by Ferguson Films owned by powerhouse couple, Connie Ferguson and her husband Shona Ferguson, alleging that he was made to pay to appear on television.
“They only gave me an increase of R100. We got to season 3 and they gave me a global contract but with an increase of R100 again. All this time they will promise to give me all that is due to me in the next season and that never happened. We got to season 4 and the same happened” explained Mlamli Mangcala
The actor made a number of allegations against Ferguson Films revealing that his role was suddenly cut short because the production needed a change to hike up their ratings
“To my surprise, they called me last month to tell me they will be killing the character because Gomora’s date went up and they needed something that will hike their ratings,” he revealed.
The actor says he has now lost his car and also was on the verge of losing his house until his in-laws assisted him.
“I had to adjust my living and the painful issue is that my kids had to adopt this nightmare. They gave me an offer in the name of talking to the channel knowing very well it was deception,” said Mangcala.
