South African rapper and presenter Anele Zondo is set to return to the hosting stage as she takes on the exciting role of hosting the SAMA32 Industry Awards on Friday, 14 August 2026.
The rapper shared the exciting news with her followers on social media after receiving a special envelope from the South African Music Awards (SAMA’s). In a video shared online, Anele showed her followers the envelope she had received before opening it to reveal the big news.
Clearly thrilled about the opportunity, Anele took to the caption of her post to share her excitement about being part of the prestigious music awards.
“Exciting News Bae!!! I’ll be hosting the Sama32 Industry Awards on Friday the 14th of August! Back on the hosting Stage. Only good vibes from your fave Zulu Bae – celebrating the icons that create our fave songs.”
In the video, Anele also read out the official message written on the envelope she received from the SAMA’s.
“Anele Zondo you have been appointed as the host for the SAMA 32 Industry Awards.”
The announcement was clearly a special moment for the rapper and presenter, who could not contain her excitement about returning to the hosting stage.
“This is so exciting! On August the 14th and August the 15th SAMA 32 is happening with your girl!”
Anele also encouraged her followers and fans to secure their tickets for the highly anticipated awards ceremony through TicketPro.
However, Anele Zondo is not the only familiar face who will be taking on hosting duties at this year’s South African Music Awards.
Radio and television presenter Zanele Potelwa and rapper Cassper Nyovest will also be joining forces as hosts for the SAMA’s.
Cassper Nyovest previously shared the news that he would be taking on the major hosting role on his Instagram page. The rapper expressed his excitement about returning to the SAMA stage and being part of the prestigious event.
“The Kat is out the bag!!!! I am so excited for this !!! After 10 years of not seeing eye to eye, they called me in and we have come to an agreement !!! This is gonna be huge!!!! 15 August !! We are going to Sun City and I am your OFFICIAL HOST!!! Tickets out now at ticketpro!!!”
The news that Zanele Potelwa would be co-hosting the SAMA’s with Cassper Nyovest was announced on Thursday, 23 July, during Cassper’s appearance on 5FM.
In a moment that quickly turned into an unforgettable surprise, Cassper handed the envelope to Zanele and asked her to read the announcement out loud. What she did not know was that the person named as his co-host was, in fact, her.
With Anele Zondo hosting the SAMA32 Industry Awards on 14 August and Cassper Nyovest and Zanele Potelwa taking over hosting duties on 15 August, music fans can look forward to a star-studded celebration of South African music and the people who continue to shape the industry.
