Popular TV Series, ‘Imbewu: The Seed’ Comes To An End. Premiering in 2018 and having a having progressive solid ratings, “Imbewu: The Seed” not only managed to be entertaining but thrived over its five years of its reign. Its ending has caused a bit of a furore on social media.

The drama series has had quite a bit of its share of issues ranging from some of its actors quitting the show to salary disputes. The drama soapie which was set in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal has set tongues wagging on social media because of its discontinuation.

Whilst the channel and the show has yet to release a statement, entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela shared the news on Twitter. The show had legendary cast members including ‘Sarafina’s’ Leleti Khumalo and Tony Kgoroge. The show is expected to air for the last time in April 2023.

TV: Imbewu cancelled

After 5 years on air, @etv has pulled the plug on the KZN based telenovela.
