Robot Boii Flexes On Why He Wasn’t Starstruck With Celebs When He Got Into The Industry. Although he’s been in the showbiz industry for a couple of years, 2022 was quite the year for Robot Boii. It’s safe to say he was one of the biggest entertainers in the country closing off with the viral Idols SA performance.

Whilst he has found fame on his own, Robot Boii comes from a well known family. He is the son of famous poet, Mzwakhe Mbuli. In our latest edition of The Episode, Robot Boii explained how growing up with a famous father made him develop a chilled vibe when it came to meeting celebs years later.

Asked if he ever got shocked to meet a famous person when he first got on the scene, Robot Boii said he never really got starstruck and explained why. “When I was in Grade 7 Nelson Mandela came to my house bro, so as far as everybody else…ya’ll can [chill],” he said laughing. “…Because my view is always on who they are than what they do. I’ve never really been starstruck like that because of that fact. I grew up in… if Nelson Mandela is coming to my house, who else is… what kind of understanding do you need to catch that?,” he explained.

He however admitted that years later he got excited when he spotted Emtee around the time ‘Roll Up’ was the biggest song in the country. “Emtee for me was that guy. Everybody else I had moments but because of the vision and the relationships I’ve built I was okay with it.”
