Ferguson Films Sets The Record Straight On Reports That Brenda Ngxoli And Vuyo Ngcukana Have Left ‘The Queen Mzansi’. On Monday, entertainment reporter Phil Mphela reported that actress Brenda Ngxoli had quit ‘The Queen Mzansi’ following a salary dispute that could not be solved and actor Vuyo Ngcukana had been fired.
Not only that, he also added that the hit telenovela had been canned. In response, Casting director at Ferguson Films, Lesedi Matsunyane Ferguson went on twitter to clarify and set the record straight. Lesedi addressed the Brenda and Vuyo reports saying the reporter was trying to tarnish the actors involved and the production company’s reputation. She went on to call it a personal attack that has been ongoing since January 2020.
“Let me get this right… because your ego got hurt, you decide that tarnishing another actor AND the production company’s reputation is the way to go? You of all people should know not to believe everything you’re told, yet you spread it anyway. A teaspoon of dithlong, Kgopolo,” she tweeted adding, “Phil, it’s personal when you LIE. 1. Brenda did not leave nor are there any salary disputes 2. Vuyo has not been fired. Just stop man.“
Vuyo himself also rubbished Phil’s report tweeting, “This has been an attack on my professional reputation which has caused my family, loved ones and business associates stress, at the very least I’m disappointed but not surprised, I have NOT been fired from #TheQueenMzansi.”
Brenda also called out Phil claiming the opposite is the truth as far as salaries are concerned. “Umgosi wakho uWack! I never had no dispute re Salary. I’ve repeatedly lamented how well @Connie_Ferguson and Ferguson Films pay and treat me,” she tweeted.
Lesedi however did not address the rumor that the show has been canceled.
