Loyiso MacDonald Bags A new Acting Gig. Since bidding farewell to award winning Mzansi Magic drama The queen, Loyiso MacDonald has been rather booked and busy. Not only did the actor make a return to theatre but he is also doing the things when it comes to the small screen.
MacDonald has bagged another acting gig on a new TV show that is set to bring the drama. Loyiso will be staring in an upcoming production called Housewives, set to debut on eTV’s free streaming service eVOD. the plot follows three housewives who become widows when their husbands are killed in a police shoutout after stealing drugs from a cartel leader.
Akhona (Sive Mabuya) Summer (Angela Lieveaux) and Lawrancia (Gabisile Tshabalala) are left with the heavy debt left by the spouses’ criminal activities and are forced to join forces to pay off the debt, but they end up deciding to outsmart the cartel boss and open a syndicate of their own. The show is set to also star Renate Stuurman, lse Klink, Vinette Ebrahim, Loyiso Macdonald, Marah Louw, and Lebo the Funny Chef. The first episode debuted October 21st.
Although his career is one to celebrate it looks like a lot has been happening in his personal life after it was reported that The Queen actor and his estranged wife have officially filed for divorce at the high court.
According to the media, the couple has been living apart for years on account of accusations of infidelity on made against Loyiso. According to court documents obtained by City Press, Loyiso’s wife Mathunzi Simphiwe MacDonald claims that there is no hope to ever reconcile with her estranged husband as they have lost all intimate feeling towards one another.
Mathunzi has revealed that she is finding hard to move on from the Loyiso’s philandering ways and finds it pointless to continue with the relationship. Loyiso and his wife Mathunzi have been living separately from 2017 after walking away from a nine year marriage in 2016.
