MacG Serves Blogger With Letter Of Demand Over Transphobic Allegations. Former radio presenter turned podcaster MacG real name Macgyver Mukwevho has gotten in trouble for some of the remarks made on his show. MacG has particularly made an enemy out of the LGBTQ community, having labelled him homophobic a transphobic.
Mukwevho has served a tweep who also happens to be a blogger by the name of @khawula_musa with a letter of demand to apologize for making defamatory claims and calling him “transphobic.” This follows the bloggers tweet about Channel O going on a production break of Mac G’s celebrity edition podcast that airs on the channel and labeled the podcaster “transphobic.”
“Channel O announced transphobic Mac G’s podcast and Chill with celebrity edition is going on a production break until further notice,” he tweeted.
MacG has since retaliated to the allegations by seeking legal help to deal with the matter. Through his lawyers Tania Mokwana INC Attorneys, MacG has served Khawula with a letter of demand instructing him to apologize for malicious comment and remove the post. According to the letter, the comment has reached over 14 000 of Khawula’s followers that now view him as homophobic.
“Our instructions are that this statement/tweet particular labeling our client “transphobic” is false and malicious. It further deemed to be defamatory in nature as it: clearly identifies our client was made on a public platform, is untrue and false. In addition thereto, the statement has caused substantial damage not only to our Client’s good name, character, reputation of our client’s business, but also substantial patrimonial loss which amounts are still to be quantified.” states Mokwana Inc Attorney states.
Khawula is not backing down without a fight and has responded to the demands claiming that he will not be apologizing for anything and posted receipts justifying why he referred to him as transphobic. In his following tweet, Khawula posted a clip from MacG’s podcast where he and co-host Sol Phenduka are heard making insensitive jokes about transgender women and the LGBTQ community.
“So I’ve been instructed by MacG’s lawyers to apologize to him for calling him a transphobe. Is it crack? Firstly, you ain’t getting no apology from me and if you memory is short see next tweet to get a good reminder of yall’s transphobic statement” Musa wrote.
