Watch! Zozibini Tunzi Shares How Much Being The New Face Of LUX Means To Her Young Self. It’s been celebrations galore for former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi because our girl is securing the bag for real. After recently revealing how excited she is for her upcoming hosting gig, Tunzi has revealed that she is working with a popular cosmetic brand.
Taking to Instagram Zozibini revealed the exciting news of her being named the new face of LUX beauty soap. The pageant queen is taking over from the likes of Nandi Madida and many more amazing women in the industry. Sharing how sentimental the opportunity is to her, Zozi shared how she’s always imagine to be the women on the ad for the beauty soap.
Tunzi shared how she used to look up to the women who modelled the soap when she was a little girl and learned how to imitate the way they put the soap on themselves. Her lathering skills may have become a bit shoddy as she grew older but she definitely nailed it in her new ad for the soap.
The beauty queen thanked the brand for walking the journey with her and making her dream of being the girl on billboard come true.
“I am the NEW FACE OF LUX!❤ I remember being a young girl seeing beautiful, confident, superstar women on TV, Magazines and billboards of LUX. To me they looked like superheroes and I would pretend to be them everytime my mom bought a bar of LUX soap. I never really got to master how they lathered it so perfectly on their skin though, but I think I more than made up for it on this gorgeous ad LOL! To young Zozi, this one is for you, you big dreamer. You became the girl on the Billboards. I am forever grateful for this life and don’t take anything for granted. To my new family @lux_southafrica , Thank you and I can’t wait to walk the rest of this beautiful journey with you” she wrote.
Zozibini also celebrated her new hosting gig at the upcoming Miss South Africa pageant, where she will be co-hosting backstage with 2018 Miss Universe winner Catriona Gray. Tunzi shared this feels like a full circle moment for her as she has been in every position within the competition which includes her being a contestant and a judge.
The official night will take place October 16th at the Cape Town Grand Arena, Grandwest and will broadcast live on Mnet and Mzansi Magic at 17:00pm.
