This Is Why Ayanda Ncwane Is Quitting The Real Housewives Of Durban #RHOD. Businesswoman and reality star Ayanda Ncwane is calling it quits with The Real Housewives reality TV franchise and will not be appearing on the much anticipated second season of the show. Ncwane was one of the most popular ladies on The Real Housewives Of Durban and she definitely made her mark in the reality TV forefront.
According to Sunday World, Ayanda who is the widow of the late award winning gospel musician Sfiso Ncwane is confirmed to have walked away from the show because not only is it damaging her brand but it is also tainting the legacy of her late husband.
“She feels like the show doesn’t respect her hubby’s legacy, which is something she has been trying to preserve” said the source.
The publication has also revealed through a source that Ayanda is leaving the show because the program had portrayed her in a negative manner. Apparently, her departure was even discussed at one of the production meetings and the producers are still contemplating on whether to replace her.
According to the source, the producers of the show wanted her to be dramatic and she feels like this is out of her character. According to the source, Ncwane was not comfortable during the show because she felt like she was lying to the people who look up to her.
It also has been revealed that it was very difficult to shoot Ayanda on the show because she was based in Johannesburg and the producers insisted on her moving to Durban to shoot, where they rented a place for her and her family.
“She feels that is not her and that dents her image and the legacy of her late husband”.
This is very sad news to hear for many people but something good may have come out of this because a source has spilt the beans of Ncwane working on her own show and we are here for it.
