Hulisani Ravele Reveals Why She Will Not Be Hosting The SAFTA’s. A little while ago, the streets of social media rallied together in support of making of former YoTV host Hulisani Ravele the host of this years South African Film And Television Awards (SAFTAs). After the radio personality put her wish to one day host the prestigious ceremony on twitter, her fans felt it would be fitting role for and decided to lend a hand at making her dreams a reality.

After the 947 radio host commented on a tweet from the a tweet from the awards platform, claiming that in her 24 years of industry experience she has never hosted the SAFTA’s and that is something that she would like change. After broadcast reporter Phil Mphela took note of Hulisani’s tweet, he along with all the Hulisani stans on twitter came together using the #HulisaniMustHostSaftas15 to convince the them to do the right thing.

“Whoever gets this tender, please find me when you’re looking for a host! 24 years in the game and never hosted the SAFTAs!? Imagine!” she wrote.

Fast forward a little while later, Hulisani has revealed that things didn’t work out as planned and will not be hosting the SAFTAs this year. Taking to her IG story, Ravele shared that the opportunity did come up however, things just didn’t work out but she is at peace with it and know that there are other opportunity’s with her name written on them.

“I wanted to be the first to tell you that i will not be hosting the SAFTA’s. The opportunity did come up but it just didn’t work out and it’s okay. You win some you lose some” she said.

Hulisani thanked her followers and supporters for the love and gave a special thank you to Phil for all the effort he put in on vouching for and also for believing in her talents.
