The saga is yet to end for internationally acclaimed DJ Nkosinathi “Black Coffee” Maphumulo and his ex wife Enhle Mbali who has dragged him to court accusing him of physical assault on a number of occasions throughout their marriage. The actress applied for a protection order and a restraining order against the father of her children and social media has been dragging him ever since.
Since the messy battle began, the media has been covering every single turn of event with regards to the court battle which saw Enhle receive spousal support and child support amounting to R65 000 per month. Even though the media has been scrutinizing the award winning DJ, he has managed to keep his cool until recently.
Since the #HandsOffEnhle and many other hashtags have been trending on twitter, the father of two has no broken his silence and shared how the drama has been affecting him. Taking to twitter in a series of tweets, Black Coffee addressed the GBV allegations made by the actress, claiming that divorce is something very and complex to go through and it has resulted in him having to seek professional help just to cope.
He continued to clear his name by refuting all allegations claiming that he has been subjected to false allegations and lies since the divorce came to light. Maphumulo made it abundantly clear that he did not lay a hand on her and he is saddened by the miscommunication that is circulating around social media in the name of separating him from his children.
“Divorce is never easy but for us it has been especially painful and I’ve spent the last 3 years in and out of intense therapy to deal with it privately. Everyday I am attacked by relentless lies and falsehoods .I DID NOT ASSAULT HER It is truly regrettable that she has chosen to mislead the public using the name of GBV and seeking a protection order against me to sperate me from my children and our home” he wrote.
In a follow up tweet, the Dj mentioned that as part of the law he will abide by the rules of the court order but he will not go down without a fight.
He followed the tweet by claiming that he used to whiteness GBV as child within his own household and is aware of the emotional and physical damage it does to the victim, which is why he would never condone or do the same to the mother of his children.
The distraught DJ expressed how disappointed he is that GBV allegations are being made to keep him away from his children and home.
“It is truly regrettable that she has chosen to mislead the public using the name of GBV and seeking a protection order against me to sperate me from my children and our home” he wrote.
