Is SABC Canning Muvhango For Good? SABC2 might be making a change to its programing as channel executives have discussed the possibility of canning Muvhango and have given its producers the last warning to improve their ratings.
Apparently the news was delivered to the cast and crew during a luncheon they had recently however, the much loved program still has one more season to redeem themselves as SABC spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo has not yet confirmed that the discussion to chop the show had taken place.
“All SABC programmes are subjected to evaluation based on a number of factors including audience ratings, associated costs and relevance to the market. To this effect, the SABC is pleased to have signed a new contract for Muvhango for another season” she said.
Other SABC programs that have also been altered by the the public broadcaster include SABC3 soapie Isidingo which was also recently canned, and Generations: The Legacy, which had its time slot reduced.
