Pearl Modiadie Shares How Losing Almost 2 Million Followers Affected Her Revenue. Mommy to be, Pearl Modiadie is still not happy that her Twitter account was hacked leaving her down by a huge amount of followers.

In a tweet, the Metro FM host grieved her Twitter followers that declined by over 1.5 million among many other misfortunes that have occurred in 2020.

“…was on the road to 2M, now we’re on the road to 50K ! 2020 giving us curve balls from every side” Pearl wrote.

A tweep tried to console the bummed personality by letting her know that she is worth more than just a large social media following however, Pearl then explained how followers translate in to currency and the less you have, the less money you make.

“It’s not about likes though… it’s social media currency which brings in the coins too! 🙂 A community that’s taken years to build. Thanks for the compliment” Modiadie responded.

Pearl Shared that it takes time to accumulate a large following and she is relieved that she is not an influencer as this could have been very detrimental to her career and her bag.

“Luckily I’m not an influencer because if I was, I’d be screwed! I do however, work with brands from time to time and a lower audience number means less eyeballs on the product/product messaging which is not ideal” she said.
