Real Housewives of Joburg’s Brinnette On Being As A Newly Wed By Her Ex Husband! Season one of the Real Housewives of Jozi ended on a high with a luxury wedding of Brinnette and her now ex husband Themba.

In the premier of season two Brinnette confirmed that she had split from her ex husband who was physically abusive towards her. In a recent interview with Drum Magazine, Brinnette revealed that in the five months they were married, Themba beat her three times and he would apologize and buy her gifts. It got so bad that Brinnette’s mother, her stepfather who had helped raise her, and her grandmother, Abigail Seopela, urged her to come back home.

“I suggested to Themba that we separate, and attend counseling to try and work on ourselves and our marriage. But while I was doing that, he kept bringing in girls to our house, into our bed,” she revealed.

In one of the clips on the reality show, Brinnette revealed that he beat her first when they were alone, then in front of their helper and another time in front of their friends.
