On Friday, actress turned entrepreneur Sophie Ndaba was on the receiving end of fake news claiming that she had passed on. Despite this not being true, the hashtag about her fake death trended way longer than it should have. Sadly this is not the first time the actress has been a victim of celebrity death hoax, it also happened exactly a year ago when social media “killed” her.

Sophie took to her Instagram page Friday night to dismiss the rumors explaining how traumatic the fake news is to her family and her kids.

“Hi darlings, It’s heartbreaking to read messages that I’m dead. It’s the second time this year this has happened and it’s extremely traumatic to my family friends and especially my kids. To address the rumors I’m alive and kicking and God willing I’m not going anywhere anytime soon,” she wrote.
