“I Worked For My Husband For A Decade Without A Single Paycheck,” Lerato Sengadi On Being Independent Whilst Married To HHP! She has been made the face of strength and called an inspiration when it comes to women fighting for their rights in marriages.

PR guru Lerato Sengadi has been fighting to clear her name and prove that her intentions towards anything concerning her late husband HHP has always been pure and motivated by their love. Lerato recently had a sit down with YouTuber Tebello Motshwane where she opened up about why she fought in court to be recognized as HHP’s customary wife.

Lerato said that what she was asking was that people keep the same energy that they had when she needed assistance but no one showed up. Lerato said she was not willing to let go and be disregarded as if she never existed in HHP’s life.

On the thought that HHP‘s family might have been giving her a difficult time because of the musician’s estate, Lerato said they knew better that it was never about the money. She explained how it was her idea to not take out a life policy even when they knew his health was deteriorating. She added that at some point HHP even asked her to be a housewife but she refused because she loves her work and also knew a musician’s career is not financially stable.

“They know better, that I’m not about the money. They know very well that I’ve never asked for his money. In our relationship, money was never the root of it. I have a very good career. I have my own things going on. I’ve always been financially sound. They know it’s not about money… the fact that I worked for my husband for a decade without even a single paycheck….,” Lerato clarified.
