Somizi Speaks On How He Feels On Being Switched From The Fresh Breakfast! The beginning of April is a crazy week for radio personalities. You don’t know if you’re getting fired, getting promoted to a better show or getting downgraded.

Metro FM is notorious for shuffling and firing even the most talented personalities. And this year they didn’t disappoint. Somizi who was part of the Breakfast show was moved to co-hosting the mid-morning show with Dineo Ranaka and Lerato Kganyago.

Speaking to his fans on Instagram LIVE, Somizi said he was happy with how things turned out for him. Somizi feels he wasn’t doing much growing in his radio career on the Breakfast show.

“I miss the Fresh Breakfast Show but truth be told I wasn’t really growing there. I was learning a lot from Fresh, but it was time for me to grow my radio career. It wasn’t going to happen there because I was really just a contributor. I realised when we did (the segment) ‘Ask a Man’ that my calling is to talk and share my wisdom. I may not be educated but I am wise. I am intelligent,” he said.

Somii is also enjoying not having to wake up early.
