Siphiwe Tshabalala is one of the best soccer players in the country and no matter popular or high he gets he’s hasn’t forgotten where it all started. The philanthropic soccer player recently went back to his Primary School and donated schools shoes to the kids.
The father of one said it brings him great pleasure to give back to the community that raised him. “I’m very happy. I’m humbled. For me, that’s my message to the kids that there is no excuse for them not to go to school”, he told reporters at the Enkanyezini Primary School in Phiri, Soweto.
“This is their ‘transport’ to school and being successful as I am, it is very important for me to give back to empower the kids. With my foundation, we encourage learners to go to school and take education”.
Kudos to Tshabalala for his philanthropy work.
