South African former Miss South Africa and mental health activist Shudufhadzo Musida is back with a podcast that continues to put meaningful conversations around mental health in the spotlight.
Musida has officially returned with Mindful Mondays, announcing the exciting news to her followers on Instagram. After taking a three-month break, the mental health advocate says she is ready to enter a new chapter with the podcast — one that promises to explore some of the biggest questions facing people in an increasingly digital world.
In a video shared on Instagram, Musida opened up about her excitement for the return of the podcast and hinted at the direction she wants to take the new season.
“We are back! I am so excited to say that Mindful Mondays is back. My research brain is asking me or rather the why of this podcast, not that it’s changing but it needs to be broadened a bit. As we continue the second season we are going to have conversations around mental health in the age of AI. We are going to speak about AI and how it impacts us daily and how we can learn daily and how to identify AI. “
The new season appears set to tackle the complicated relationship between technology and mental wellbeing, particularly as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly present in everyday life.
For Musida, however, the return is not simply about starting another season. She wants the conversations to have meaning and is inviting her audience to help shape what comes next.
“Its been feeling, I want to start but I want to start differently. I want to have conversations, but I want conversations to matter and that’s where you come in. Please send me topics that you’re finding interesting. “
The return also marks an important milestone for Mindful Mondays, as Musida revealed in the caption that it has officially been one year since the podcast began.
Reflecting on her break, she wrote, “took three months away. I needed to practice what I preach.
And what I found in the pause changed everything about how I want to show up here. This season we’re going deeper: Al & mental health. Identity in the Global South.
Storytelling as a tool for healing. And so much more. To those who waited – thank you. To those just arriving — welcome. Let’s figure things out together.”
With topics ranging from AI and mental health to identity in the Global South and storytelling as a tool for healing, the second season of Mindful Mondays looks set to bring a fresh perspective to conversations that matter.
And this time, Musida is not just asking listeners to tune in, she is asking them to be part of the conversation.
