Minnie Dlamini to Produce More Shows After Big Award Win

South African media personality and TV presenter Minnie Dlamini is entering an exciting new chapter in her career, with more television productions on the way after receiving major recognition for her work behind the scenes.

Minnie Dlamini recently won Entertainment TV Producer of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards, which took place on August 7 and August 8, 2026, at the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg, South Africa. The award recognised her work on her show #ClubBangers on Channel O and marked an important moment in her journey from being known primarily as an on-screen personality to establishing herself as a producer.

Following her win, Minnie Dlamini shared her excitement on social media, writing, ““The other night I won Entertainment TV Producer of the Year For my show #ClubBangers on Channel O. This one means more to me than I can put into words. For so much of my career, you’ve known me in front of the camera. But producing has allowed me to expand beyond what I do, into who I am a storyteller, a creator, a builder, a leader, and a woman determined to create spaces and opportunities for stories that deserve to be told”

But the award appears to be only the beginning. Speaking to True Love Magazine, Minnie revealed that she has several more productions in the pipeline, including an international television show that viewers will see very soon.

“I’ve got so many shows coming up. I’ve got an international TV show that will be on your screens very, very soon. So, in the next couple of months, I’m looking forward to that. 2027 is a very exciting year for Beautiful Day Productions.”

Minnie Dlamini owns a television and film production company called Beautiful Day Productions. The company previously produced her three-part reality docuseries documenting her wedding build-up and wedding, Becoming Mrs Jones.

Her latest announcement suggests that Beautiful Day Productions is preparing for an even bigger year ahead, with Minnie firmly focused on building a lasting career beyond the television screen.

Reflecting on her award and her journey into producing, Minnie told True Love Magazine, ““I’ve been producing for about seven or eight years. I’m very excited. I’m very proud. Producing has always been my plan and my goal. I always knew I wouldn’t be on TV forever. So, to be honoured in a space that I love and that means the most to me is very… Yeah. It’s a full circle for me, to be honest,”

For Minnie, the award is therefore more than another addition to her achievements. It represents years of work behind the scenes and a vision that extends beyond being a television presenter.

With an international show coming soon and more productions already in the works, 2027 could prove to be a defining year for Minnie Dlamini and Beautiful Day Productions.
