Award-winning South African actor Bonko Khoza is celebrating his 35th birthday with a heartfelt reflection on life, love and the blessings that have shaped his journey.
Taking to social media to mark the special occasion, Bonko wished himself a happy birthday while sharing a deeply personal message about embracing life in all its colours.
“35. I count it all a blessing, to live a life in full colour.
There’s something liberating about perceiving life in noir.
It reminds me that, in the end, we really only have two choices: to be in or out. To go big or go home. To choose the darkness or the light. To be or not to be.
I’ve always chosen life.”
His words sparked warm birthday wishes from friends, fellow entertainers and loved ones, including his wife, Lesego Khoza, who took a moment to celebrate her husband publicly.
Lesego commented, “Happy Birthday King.”
Bonko responded with an equally touching message, thanking his wife for the life they have built together and acknowledging the love they share with their family.
“thank you so much my love. A life with You and Ama are the best gifts I could ask for. Thank you Nana.”
Actress Lerato Mvelase also joined the birthday celebrations, sending Bonko a message filled with well wishes for the year ahead.
“Happy birthday Khoza May this new season open destined paths that will bring all that your heart desires.”
Actor Siya Sepotokele also celebrated the occasion, commenting, “Happy Birthday chief:”
Bonko’s 35th birthday comes during an exciting period in his personal life. Earlier this year, in June, he and Lesego revealed that they are expecting their second child. The pregnancy announcement came on Father’s Day, making the celebration even more meaningful for the growing family.
In a joint Instagram post, Bonko and Lesego shared a series of heartwarming photographs featuring themselves and their first child, daughter Ama. In the images, Lesego proudly showed off her growing baby bump while on the beach and dressed in white, capturing a beautiful moment as the family prepares to welcome another little one.
Alongside the photographs, Lesego penned a touching message dedicated to her husband.
“Happy Father’s Day to the love of my life. Ubaba wezi gane zami, wena wazalwa amazulu. Thank you so much for being such an amazing Father to our Babies, God really did something with you man.”
With another year beginning and another child on the way, Bonko’s birthday reflection feels especially fitting. His message of choosing life, light and gratitude comes at a time when his family is entering a new and exciting chapter together.
