Gail Mabalane Celebrates Her Sister’s Graduation

Actress Gail Mabalane is celebrating a special moment in her family after her sister, Denise Nkoane, graduated.

Gail took to Instagram to share photos from Denise’s graduation day. She posted pictures of her sister wearing her graduation gown and walking across the stage to receive her qualification.

Along with the photos, Gail shared a heartfelt message about how proud she is of Denise and the difficult journey she has overcome.

She wrote: This girl right here. I couldn’t be more proud. You were just 17 when we lost our brother, in your very first year of tertiary. Then, 6 months later, we lost Mom. And when you were only 24, we lost Dad.

I have watched you navigate life through some of its highest highs and deepest lows, and still keep fighting against all odds. l’ve seen you rise above setback after setback, even when your circumstances gave you every reason not to.

I am so, so proud of you, Niesie!!! You fought hard, and you made it. This is so much bigger than a graduation ceremony. It’s a reminder that no matter what life throws at you, you can still choose to rise. I love you so much! Here’s to all that God has in store for you next!”

Many people joined Gail in congratulating Denise on her achievement. Actress Dineo Moeketsi commented, “Congratulations Niesie.”

Jennifer Bala also shared her excitement, writing, “Awww. Congratulations Denise!”

Denise’s graduation is especially meaningful because of the challenges her family has faced over the years. Gail’s older brother, Craig Nkoane, passed away in 2006 after an accidental electrocution at his workplace. The family then lost their mother just six months later. Years later, they also lost their father.

Despite these heartbreaking losses, Denise continued to push forward and work towards her goals.

Earlier this month, Gail remembered her late brother by sharing a series of photos and a touching tribute marking 20 years since his passing.
