Southern African DJ Oscar Mbo has shared the heartbreaking news of his mother’s passing, leaving fans and fellow celebrities deeply moved.
Taking to his Instagram page, the star posted touching pictures and memories of himself with his mother, reflecting on the bond they shared over the years. Alongside the images, he expressed his grief in a short but emotional message. He wrote, “woah.” With a heartbroken emoji. “you loved all of us so loud, you taught us how to pray, how to share and how to express ourselves. I thank God for your amazing life that you shared with us Mama, the best childhood I had and the support you gave me from the very beginning to the end – you were so so proud of me & would always remind me how good God is. Rest in eternal peace, l’m shattered but I’m filled with so much love as you always gave me. Rest in peace my love.”
Following his post, Oscar Mbo received an outpouring of condolences and support in the comments section, with both fans and celebrities sending messages of comfort during this difficult time.
The DJ has often shared glimpses of his close relationship with his family. Last Christmas, he posted pictures of himself with his loved ones, including his mother, capturing joyful family moments.
In November 2025, he also paid tribute to his father by sharing a recent photo of them together, along with a throwback picture from his younger years. In the heartfelt post, he wrote, “l’m a loving father because you are a loving father who taught me I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Love you, Dad – Mbongeni.”
