Shamiso Mosaka Sets the Record Straight After  Red Carpet Moment With DJ Speedsta

Reality TV star and radio presenter Shamiso Mosaka has addressed a viral moment involving her boyfriend, DJ Speedsta, after the two were spotted on the red carpet at the Metro FM Music Awards 2026. The event took place on Saturday, 25 April 2026, at the Durban ICC.

The moment, which quickly gained traction online, was captured in a video shared on TikTok by entertainment page The Update. In the clip, DJ Speedsta is seen pulling Shamiso away from the red carpet while she appeared to be engaging with journalists and photographers.

Social media users were quick to react, with many questioning his actions. @Charmaine Ozzy commented, “why is strawberry dragging strawberrina like that?” followed by laughing emojis. Another user, @Hle1321, added, “I don’t like what he just did aibo.”

As the conversation grew, Shamiso stepped in to clarify what really happened. Addressing the situation in the comments, she wrote, “TO BE CLEAR, my partner was telling journalists that I won’t do interviews at a radio event’s occasion because I work at a different radio station and I respect that. Stop with the narratives.”

However, not everyone was convinced. @honeymoon__too commented, “I don’t see him talking to the journalists though ? All he did was drag you around.”

Shamiso didn’t hold back in her response. She explained, “I was not “dragged around” he knew my boundaries around attending this event and was helping me maintain that. Also I was shaking from anxiety (I don’t like carpets) so l actually wanted to take a moment to breathe. Don’t try decide things about people you don’t know from a 5 second clip.”

Her response offered a deeper look into the situation, reminding viewers that short clips don’t always tell the full story.
