South African singer and songwriter Lira is feeling grateful after a heartfelt and unforgettable performance at the Lyric Theatre. The special show, titled Still Here, took place on Saturday, 18 April 2026, and marked a deeply personal moment in her journey.
After the performance, Lira took to Instagram to thank her fans for showing up and supporting her during such an important time in her life. Reflecting on the night, she shared, “Still here… and it still feels surreal.
That night felt like pure magic – beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable. Thank you for making a dream l’ve carried in my heart come true. This is such a personal milestone for me.
We laughed, we cried, we celebrated… it was truly EPIC.
To everyone who showed up – your love filled the room in the most powerful way. And to my incredible team… you are everything. I’m so grateful to walk this journey with you. Look at God. I’m forever thankful.”
The performance was more than just a concert. A month before taking the stage, Lira opened up about the deeper meaning behind Still Here. She explained, “Still Here. More than a concert — it is a celebration of healing, courage, and the transformative power of music. Music has been such a vital part of my recovery, and this show is a reflection of that journey.”
Fans and supporters who attended the show were equally moved. South African television presenter Hulisani Ravele shared her experience, describing the night as both emotional and inspiring.
She wrote, “Last night, @miss_lira returned to the stage for an intimate solo performance that moved our spirits as much as it moved our feet. Lira’s music has been the soundtrack to so many chapters of my life. From high highs when I was feeling good, to low lows where her songs were prayers for both my soul and mind. Listening to her share how the songs that have healed and affirmed so many of us as her fans, were the same songs that held the blueprint to her stroke recovery journey was stirring.
“She said it was as if she had written them ahead of time for exactly this purpose, this chapter of her life.
Oh Lerato, last night really was more than just a concert.
Thank you for your courage, for, as you powerfully put it,
“not being scared to be seen trying”. Re leboga Modimo le badimo that you are Still Here. I love you.”
