Reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase, best known for her role on The Mommy Club, has given fans a candid update on her healing journey after undergoing liposuction and a tummy tuck.
The mother of five revealed that she has reached the six-week milestone since her surgery and is feeling much better.
“I’m 6 weeks post-surgery. I had an abdominoplasty done by the phenomenal Prof C Sofianos and results are good. I’m cleared to do light exercises. I’m driving now. Though still swollen, I’m pretty much back to my regular activities. I’ve not taken pain meds in over 2 weeks. I’m still recovering though. I’m happy,” she said.
To celebrate her progress, Nozipho shared a video showing off her new body, and her comment section was quickly filled with love and compliments. Model and media personality Ayanda Thabethe gushed, “Omg you look so amazing.” Reality star Ms Manche added, “U look amazing bby.” Actress Gugu Gumede also praised her, writing, “You look amazing sis.” A fan was so impressed they wrote, “Mother of 5 where, what tummy did they grow inside of,” with heart emojis.
For Nozipho, this procedure was more than just a physical change. She explained before the surgery that it was part of her self-love journey.
“I’ve been on this self-love journey, and I think after having my last three kids and just going through things in general, I just struggled with loving myself and my confidence just went down the drain,” she said.
As a proud mom of five, including twins, she admitted that her body had gone through significant changes. “I’ve had four pregnancies which resulted in five kids… and so I gained weight and just wasn’t exercising as often as I would’ve wanted. There’s just been a whole lot of insecurities,” she added.
Meanwhile, fellow reality TV star and influencer Vuyokazi Nciweni is also pursuing her own transformation journey. The Uthando Nes’thembu alum recently returned to Turkey for a “mommy makeover,” which included a breast lift. She bravely shared before-and-after pictures with her followers and explained her reasons for going under the knife.
“I decided to share this so you guys can see why I needed this transformation (mommy makeover). I wanna share something with you guys and I hope this doesn’t traumatise you,” Vuyokazi said.
Earlier this year, she also spoke openly in a YouTube vlog about undergoing gastric sleeve surgery after struggling to lose weight through dieting. “I’ve tried everything; eating proper foods and all of that, but… it has become very unhealthy for me to a point where it gets so bad,” she admitted.
Both stars’ stories highlight how motherhood and life changes can deeply affect women’s bodies and confidence—and how some choose cosmetic surgery as a way to embrace self-love and personal transformation.
