Real Housewives of Durban star Nonku Williams has finally spoken out about her friendship with Jojo Robinson after weeks of confusion and online talk. The two reality stars were once very close, but things took a turn, leaving fans wondering if their friendship had ended for good.
It all started when Jojo Robinson shared an emotional letter to Nonku Williams, touching the hearts of many fans and sparking reflection on the end of one of Real Housewives of Durban’s most loved friendships.
Jojo opened up on Instagram about how hard it was to move on from her friendship with Nonku.
In a heartfelt message directed to Nonku, she wrote: “Dear Nonkie Nonks, I hope you find peace and love with whoever you choose in this life. I loved every second we spent together and I’m forever grateful for the friendship we shared… I understand that you are going in a different direction, and I hope one day we get to talk again in person.”
After Jojo’s emotional message, Nonku Williams responded with a long and thoughtful post of her own. She shared her side of the story, saying that there had been a misunderstanding and that her words were taken the wrong way on the show.
“This is a heartfelt message I’ve written regarding the recent misunderstanding involving Jojo,” Nonku wrote. “These are my sincere sentiments, and I hope you’ll take a moment to read them with understanding and grace.”
She explained that she never meant to downplay their friendship or make Jojo feel unimportant. “I never intended to denounce our friendship or diminish the value that Jojo has brought to my life.”
Nonku said that her words were taken out of context, especially when she called their friendship “surface level.” She admitted that she’s still learning how to speak with more kindness and care.
“I want to apologize for using the words ‘surface level’… I tend to be very blunt… and I’m actively working on being more mindful and gentle in my delivery.”
She also opened up about her spiritual growth and how it has changed how she connects with people. “As I’ve drawn closer to God, I’ve entered a space of deeper intimacy with Him… When I said that I’m not able to tell Jojo everything happening in my life, I meant that I have other friends I can call to pray with me at 3 a.m. when I’m struggling, not because I don’t trust Jojo, but because each friendship has its own unique role.”
Nonku assured fans that her love for Jojo hasn’t changed. She said they are working on fixing things and are planning to meet soon to talk it out. “I love Jojo, and I’m committed to our friendship… I’m deeply grateful for the years we’ve shared.”
She ended the message by saying not everything in life needs to be shared online. Some moments and friendships are sacred and should be handled with care, off-camera.
