“You Are My Greatest Blessing” – DJ Zinhle Pens Emotional Message to Daughter Kairo Forbes on Her 10th Birthday

South African DJ and businesswoman DJ Zinhle celebrated a very special milestone this week — her daughter Kairo Forbes’ 10th birthday.

To mark the day, Zinhle shared a heartwarming video montage on social media showing Kairo’s journey from baby to young girl. The video included sweet moments with her family, including her late father, rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

Along with the video, DJ Zinhle wrote a touching message to her daughter that left many people emotional.

“Happy 10th Birthday, @kairo.forbes. Ten years of wondering how I got so lucky to be your mom,” she wrote. “I’ve never truly felt deserving of such a beautiful gift — but that’s the thing about God’s favour… it can’t be explained.”

In her message, Zinhle reflected on how Kairo has changed her life for the better. “You’ve made me believe that I could be more, do more… that I, too, deserve the best in life simply because I have you. I thank God for you every single day,” she continued.

Zinhle also shared a prayer for her daughter’s happiness: “Today, I pray especially for your joy — may He turn every pain into purpose, and every tear into laughter.”

She spoke lovingly about Kairo’s late father, AKA, who was tragically shot and killed on 10 February 2023.

“Bongani and I wish every day that your dad was still here. But we promise to do everything we can to fill your world with love, joy, and the kind of memories he would’ve been proud of. You will never forget how deeply he loved you, and how much he lived for you.”

Ending her message, DJ Zinhle said: “Happy birthday to the kindest soul and the best sister ever. You are my greatest blessing. I love you endlessly.”

Kairo also received birthday wishes from local celebrities. Singer Nandi Madida commented, “Happy birthday queen Kairo.” Thabsie added, “Happy birthday sweet girl. You have done incredible friend.”
