Popular South African actress and singer Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema is the latest celebrity to undergo cosmetic surgery.Simphiwe , a proud mother of two, recently revealed that she traveled to Turkey for what she calls a “mommy makeover” — a procedure aimed at helping her return to her pre-baby body.

Simphiwe shares her two children with fellow media personality Tino Chinyani. Their first son, Tiyani, was born in June 2022, and their second baby, Kabo, arrived in November 2024. Like many women,  Simphiwe noticed changes in her body after pregnancy and childbirth, which led her to consider surgery.

The star chose to have her procedure done at Mono Cosmetic Surgery in Turkey. In an honest and open post to her followers, Simphiwe said, “I went for a more natural look. I wanted to fix what was ruined by pregnancy. I look like what I used to before having babies.”

She explained that she didn’t go for anything dramatic or over-the-top. “Some people prefer to do more. My boobs are still the same size, they are just not sagging anymore, and my tummy is back to what it looked like before I had my children,” she added.

Simphiwe made it clear that the surgery was not about trying to be perfect, but about feeling good in her own skin again. She emphasised that the procedure was focused on removing extra fat from her stomach and lifting her breasts.

She also shared how easy the process was. “I did my consultation via WhatsApp when I was still at home. You take photos of yourself (without a bra. You have to wear similar panties to mine), you don’t have to show your face. They will send you a quotation.”

Her post included before-and-after images, showing the subtle but noticeable transformation. Fans have praised her for being open about her journey and for showing that self-care can look different for everyone, even if it means getting a little help after having kids.
