Jojo Robinson, star of The Real Housewives of Durban, recently shared a bold and revealing Instagram post showcasing her stunning body and tattoo collection. In the post, she posed in a black bikini adorned with diamond details, giving her followers a closer look at her tattoos, which have taken nearly eight years to complete.
Jojo opened up about her tattoo journey, sharing details of the process, pain, and costs involved. “TATTOO Tour. It’s taken about 8 years of being tattooed to get to this point,” she wrote. She didn’t hold back when discussing the pain of getting tattoos, saying, “Does it hurt? Yes. People who tell me it doesn’t hurt are usually the ones with an outline. Anything over a 3-hour session is horrible. It does not get better. It gets worse the longer you sit. And healing is rough. Black out areas. Yoh. You must prepare. Nothing can actually prepare you.”
As for the cost, Jojo admitted that she’s lost track, but estimates her tattoos have likely cost between 200k to 300k (roughly), if not more. Despite the pain and expense, Jojo has no regrets. “Do you regret any? No. Not at all. I love my art,” she said. When asked about the most painful areas for tattoos, she listed the neck, inner legs, knee, foot, ribs, and lower back as the worst spots.
Jojo also shared her thoughts on aging with tattoos, saying, “We are all gonna be old. No one is skipping that skip. Wrinkled tattooed skin, in my opinion, is better than just wrinkled sun-aged skin. Tattoos cover all the gross things time will bring to us all. So you either gonna be arty and old or just old. It’s really just preference.”
In her post, Jojo revealed she plans to continue getting tattoos and touching up her older ones. If you’re curious about the total cost of her tattoos, Jojo has a response: “Let’s not go there, lol.”
Jojo also gave a playful shoutout to her husband, Calven Robinson, for funding her tattoo journey, while crediting Dr. Paul McGarr for her body work, tagging both in the post: “Body @drpaulmcgarr Payments @calvenrobinson.”
Her followers were quick to shower her with compliments, with one fan commenting, “To me, this is goals,” while another wrote, “I’m so obsessed,” and a third added, “Body so tea, love the art.”
