Tyla has been named GQ South Africa’s Entertainer of the Year, celebrating her incredible rise to global superstardom. At just 22 years old, the South African singer’s journey has been nothing short of impressive, with her hard work and hunger for success catapulting her to international fame.

GQ South Africa highlighted Tyla’s remarkable achievements, particularly the global success of her 2023 hit song “Water,” which topped charts in multiple countries. The track was a major turning point in her career, earning her numerous awards and setting the stage for her debut album, TYLA.

The album hit number 24 on the Billboard 200 and solidified her place in the global music scene. In 2024, Tyla continued to make history, becoming the first African artist to win three awards in a single night at the MTV European Music Awards. She also became the youngest African solo artist to win a Grammy Award. Her accolades include four South African Music Awards (SAMAs), the Metro FM Global Icon Award, and two BET Awards.

Recently, Tyla proudly shared her platinum plaque for TYLA, a symbol of her growing success and influence in the music industry.
