If you haven’t noticed by now that Gareth Cliff and Minister Fikile Mbalula don’t get along then where in South Africa do reside if we may ask?

On Tuesday the Minister of Sports and Recreation and all things nice kind of attacked the Cliff Central creator after he took to Twitter to question the Minister’s credibility.

Gareth basically Tweeted asking; “Has anyone found Fikile Mbalula’s credibility yet?”, it seems that this did not sit well with Mr Mbalula at all because he replied with almost 10 Tweets calling Gareth Cliff all sorts of names in his replies. As many in the Twitter world would refer to this as a Twitter War aka Twar, Gareth Cliff believes that it wasn’t one because he did not reply to any of the Minister’s ‘insults’.

Gareth had this to say on V-Entertainment regarding the issue: “I don’t think that constitutes as a Twar. You need two warring sides to make a Twar, you can’t dance on your own. I don’t know whether it’s worth commenting on someone’s relevance when the only reason you know about them is because they are political.”

Gareth went one to explain that he is not fighting with the Minister and he is not a part of any ‘beef’.

“I think there are lots of people in this country who are more interesting than him and than me. I’m sorry if the minister thinks there’s a Twar, I’m not fighting with him, you can’t dance on your own. All I sent him in reply to his tweet was a smiley face with a wink. So I’m not fighting with you, so don’t fight with me,” Gareth added.

So did you get that Minister of fun? Gareth doesn’t want to start a war, OK? Good!
