The Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2024 celebrated South African trailblazers on November 23, with singer and performer Makhadzi taking home the Entertainer Game Changer Award. Overjoyed by the recognition, Makhadzi shared her heartfelt gratitude on social media:
“Your 2024 GLAMOUR WOMAN OF THE YEAR. ENTERTAINER GAME CHANGER goes to MAKHADZI. Everyone knows my story; it all started from the streets to taking all the awards. I am here to tell a story through my journey—to all my village girls: when the time is right, we are going to win and change the game, and the time is now.”
Makhadzi’s recognition comes on the heels of another milestone: her hit song “Mapara,” featuring Babethe Gaoshazen, recently won Popular SA Song on Social Media at the South African Social Media Awards.

“Glamour Music Game Changer Award Women of the Year 2024—I’m super grateful and blessed to be part of something bigger than myself, something that speaks to all women, girls, and legends. Thank you for your continued love and support.”
