Zola Hashatsi Arrested For Impersonating Medical Practitioner. The Former ‘Rhythm City’ actor found himself on the wrong side of the law after allegedly posing as a medical doctor at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
Zola was reportedly recently arrested at Africa’s biggest hospital, Chris Hani Baragwanath. It is alleged that Hashatsi made his way into the hospital with medical scrubs and a stethoscope where he tried treating an ill patient in one of the hospital’s wards. An employee of the hospital noticed him and alerted senior management of the hospital, police were then called and he was allegedly arrested on the spot as he had no medical license and had a fabricated medical name tag for deception.
It is reported by City Press ,that subsequent to his arrest he was allegedly charged with fraud and impersonation of a medical practitioner.
Police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo confirmed that he was arrested but was later released, “The suspect was arrested. He was taken to court, and the case was withdrawn by the court,” Masondo said.
