Zandie Gumede Speaks On Reconciling With Sister Kelly Khumalo. After three years of a public feud, sisters Zandie Gumede and Kelly Khumalo have buried the hatchet.
The Khumalo sisters had a public fallout a couple of years ago which ended in Zandie taking to social media to announce that she was “divorcing” Kelly. After years of not talking and not being in each other’s lives, the sisters are finally mending their relationship and it was all caught on camera for Kelly’s reality show, Life With Kelly Khumalo on Showmax. The sisters had a heart to heart and spoke honestly and openly about their issues with the help of Kelly’s therapist.
“I just didn’t know how to react. I think the thing that made me uneasy was the therapy part of things. Whatever happens, we must have resolved everything by the time we left the room. It’s been a heavy load to carry all this time,” the singer said on being in therapy with Kelly.
Zandie had an interview with Showmax in which she revealed that herself and Kelly had already started rebuilding their relationship before seeking professional help. Zandie expressed her wish for things to go back to normal adding that she’d like for them to grow from the experience and make sure that it never happens again. Kelly attended Zandie’s son’s christening and met him for the first time.
“I knew it would happen, but it was just a matter of time. I was just hoping that it happens sooner before my son notices who’s who, what’s going on… One thing I know for sure is that at home we’re not the kind of people who hold grudges for the longest time, and I got that from my mother. You can upset my mother now, but two minutes later it’s gone, we are over it. At this point we are adults, we are not the kids that we were yesterday. We need to consider things or how we speak towards one another…,” the told the streaming platform.
