First it was Penny Penny claiming to be Cassper Nyovest’s father now an unknown KZN man named Thabani Mbatha is coming for Zakes Bantwini. The singer however is not having any of it. Zakes Bantwini rubbishes KZN man’s paternity story.
The unknown man was all over in the media claiming to be Zakes’ biological father and now the singer is setting the records straight. Speaking to Drum, Zakes thinks the man is after his money.
“I’ve worked very hard for who I am. And now that I’m up there, he pops out of nowhere and claims to be my dad. No not at my expense,” he told Drum.
Thabani Mbatha is determined to prove Zakes is his son, he told the magazine that he is even willing to do a DNA test to prove it. Zakes on the other hand says it’s unfortunate because his mother is no longer here to answer those questions.
“Unfortunately my mother passed away in 2007 and she’s not around to answer these questions. I have three siblings and I’m the second one. We all share the same father. None of us were born out of marriage,” he said.
Mbatha is reportedly a truck driver and claims to have supported Zakes financially when he was growing up.
