Zakes Bantwini And Nomcebo Zikode React To Their First Grammy Award Nominations. Congratulations are in order for two new proudly SA artists now added to the growing Grammy nominated musicians from South Ah, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode.

Zakes and, Nomcebo earned their first Grammy nominations from their collaborative effort with their song, Bayethe which also features Wouter Kellerman who is a previous Grammy winner. The trio is nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category.

Taking to social media in reaction, both Zakes and Nomcebo shared their joy and excitement over the achievement. “I’ve just received my Grammy nomination. God is the greatest,” Zakes tweeted. Nomcebo took to Instagram writing, “Just landed in Nice and found out that I’m now a Grammy nominated artist.”

The trio face off fellow African giant, Burna Boy and others for the major Award. Congratulations to the artists on their nods. Here’s to hoping they bring it home. Check out some reactions from some of their industry peers below.
