Zahara has been publicly criticized for her style sense and if it seems like she doesn’t care, it might be because she’s not new to being judged over her looks. Zahara opens up about being called ugly growing up.
In a recent interview with Drum Mag, the singer opened up about always feeling like an outcast when she was growing up. “I was made fun of for my crooked teeth and they told me my voice was too big and that I was too masculine,” she told the mag. She went on to say that she became very self-conscious of her teeth and begged for invisible liners for teeth to make them straight. She also said that she rarely smiled as she didn’t want to show off her imperfect smile. She felt the only way she could build up her confidence was to straighten her teeth. Her friends were able to offer her some suggestions on how she could go about straightening her teeth. They told her that orthodontists like Quicksmiles offer Invisalign services that can straighten teeth. However, they didn’t push her into anything, they left her with some things to research.
Of course things have changed now, Zahara has completely transformed herself into a hottie and she owns it too. “I take care of myself now and the way I look is important to me. I work out more, I eat well, have regular visits to my Dentist in Vista, and I take care of my image,” she said.
